Bladnoch Kirkcowan Single Malt Whisky

From the oldest privately owned Scotch whiskey distillery in the world: still, in flow.

1817 – Bladnoch’s rich history dates back to 1817, when John and Thomas McClelland were first granted a license to distill whiskey at their Bladnoch farm in the Scottish Lowlands. For nearly a century, successive generations of the McClelland family expanded and modernized the distillery. At its peak, the site had six washbacks and an annual production of approximately 230,000 liters of alcohol, cementing its status as the ‘Queen of the Lowlands’.

This whiskey is a delicious whiskey from the Lowlands, the southernmost whiskey region of Scotland.

Distilled at the Bladnoch distillery. Bladnoch Kirkcowan Single Malt is an unpeated whisky, which is fully matured in American oak barrels. This gives the whiskey a soft and elegant taste, with notes of fruit, nuts and vanilla.

The whiskey has an alcohol content of 40% and an amber glow. When you open this whisky, you are welcomed by a soft and fruity aroma, with hints of vanilla and oak. The taste is full and round, with a nice balance between sweet and spicy. You taste nuts, oak, vanilla and a hint of citrus. The aftertaste is soft and subtle, with a long-lasting warmth.
